A short watch exploring the more mainstream religious view that evolution is a historical fact (that is, life on this planet shares a common ancestor) but that the process was divinely guided.

Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

The ideas are compatible if, when considering one, you’re willing to conveniently forget facts about the other. Theistic evolution works in general, but not in detail. There is simply so much that runs against the idea of a “plan”.
